7 ways to use a handmade cup

I had a random conversation about cups the other day and realized; I don’t think I’m a “cup person”. Do you know what I mean (have you ever given this thought?) I don’t make them often, but when I do I have a friend who just looooooves them. She goes on and on about how she loves having little cups for all kinds of reasons. So, we discussed further, and I realized I live with someone like her. My husband.

He uses them for Cheetos, for nuts, and those amazing little Brookside chocolates to name a few. He shakes them from the cup directly into his mouth because who has time for using your fingers these days ( he also works in spreadsheets all day). Don’t get me wrong, I love making cups. They’re quick and easy and can be decorated in all sorts of fun ways, but I guess I never really connected with the many uses of them.

We discussed all kinds of uses for these cute cups, so I’ll list them below. I’m curious if I’ve left any out. I’m considering making a collection of them, thinking of all the people out there who want to keep their fingers clean but also love Cheetos.

  1. Snacks (like Cheetos or nuts)

  2. Ice Cream (self control)

  3. Bedside Water Cup

  4. Toothbrush Holder

  5. Charcuterie Dish

  6. Child’s Cup

  7. Wine

So, there you have it. Seven ways to use your special clay cup. If I’ve left something out, I’d love to know what you’d use your clay cup for!
